Review of Keyword Elite

Working with keywords for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or PPC marketing is a difficult job. Finding the right keywords that are not too competitive, but still deliver good traffic is the ultimate goal. These keywords would be cheap or affordable for PPC promotion, too. Keeping the cost low and the competition under control, is almost a guarantee for success when working with keywords.

There are many free tools on the Internet that provide help with keyword mining. In fact - this very website you are on offers such a free tool. The biggest problem with free tools is that they are spread out and that you need to visit several websites to get all the information you need. Sometimes you are not able to get everything you need, because the free tools are limited to a certain degree. If you reach those levels, you should consider switching to paid software. I was at a point like this a few weeks ago and I decided to spend the money to get a software called "Keyword Elite". If you do research for this software you will find a lot of hype build up around it. There are many reviews and most of them are "positive" as those reviewers try to promote the software and to earn a sales commission from it. More about that later. But almost no one of those reviewers has really bought the software and used if first hand.

Well, I had a need for the software for business purposes and I was like to get a 50% off discount from somebody (not the software maker) that helped to make the purchase less painful. Keyword Elite comes with 5 built-in projects for the user to choose from. Each project offers different functionality. For a new user it is not always clear what exactly a project can do to its full extent. I wasted some time just messing around with the software until I decided to step back and to watch the support (or sales) videos on the Keyword Elite homepage. I can highly recommend watching those video tutorials for Keyword Elite as it will cut down on wasted time. Once I knew what each project can really do, it was much easier to use the software and to get results from it. I am not going to review each project as that goes beyond the purpose of this article. If you check the Keyword Elite website you can see the projects. I am mainly using project #1 and project #5. Keep in mind that even if the software does a lot of work for you, you still need to do some work yourself. The software can only do so much without your help. But a smart brain can take the software and really make it work.
